Hair stays in the catcher, not in the pipe
Hair almost always ends up in the shower or bathtub drain, and the water starts draining more slowly. This stainless steel hair catcher slips into the drain opening: hair stays in its basket, and all you have to do is lift it out to empty it.
It has three parts: a vented dome with rounded edges that stays visible above the drain, a cylinder basket with small hexagonal holes that goes down into the opening, and a black ring that keeps it in place. Water flows through the openings in the dome and the basket.
Four sizing rings numbered 1 to 4 come with the catcher. They fit it to openings of about 1.46 to 1.79 in across. The basket is about 1.22 in (3.1 cm) across: measure your drain opening before ordering, then pick the ring that fits best.
The low, polished stainless steel dome keeps a simple, discreet outline: there is no thick grid sitting on the shower floor. The catcher lifts out with one hand, which makes it easy to get into the habit of a quick clean, for example once a week, before hair builds up.
It is a small bathroom accessory, but it helps every day: a quick clean now and then, and the drain stays clear for longer. It suits a shower, a bathtub or a sink, as long as the drain size matches one of the rings supplied.

What's in the box
- 1 stainless steel hair catcher (dome and perforated basket)
- 4 sizing rings numbered 1 to 4
The shower, bathtub and sink shown in the photos are not included.
Use and care
- Measure the diameter of your drain opening: it should be between about 1.46 and 1.79 in.
- Pick the sizing ring that fits the opening best and place it around the basket.
- Slide the catcher into the drain, dome facing up, and lift it out regularly to remove the hair.
Care: lift the catcher out, remove the hair by hand or with a tissue, then rinse the dome and basket with clean water. A soft brush is enough for the small holes; avoid abrasive sponges that would scratch the polished steel.
Good to know
Check the shape of your drain before ordering: the basket must be able to go down into the opening. Some pop-up or fixed-grid drains need to be opened or removed before putting the catcher in. Bathroom fixtures shown in the photos are not supplied.
